Locals Report

I went to Locals carrying my finished Glad Beast deck. I was hoping to go to Regionals on Saturday and hitch a ride with someone, however no one appears to be going from Fredericton. I'm now hoping my roommate doesn't have plans.

Round 1 vs. Jeremy (Lightsworn)
Game 1: I open amazingly and spam Gyzarus.
Game 2: We get into a topdeck battle that he wins.
Game 3: See Game 1 except into Herk to end.
It was nice paying him back for beating me at the last locals.

Round 2 vs. Tyler (Gadgets)
Game 1: I open well again and get into Herk. He draws Snipe hunter and blows Herk away, but I activated my trap hole (lol) and he is only able to blow Herk. I put down a Bestiari next turn and go into Gyzarus.
Game 2: He sides in Prohibition. I draw a Prisma with a Glad on the field, and he has Prohibition called on my Bestiari. I dump Bestiari via Prisma's effect and synchro into Gyzarus. I attack for game a turn later.*

*There is no ruling on Prisma and Prohibition. The judge who was in charge said it was allowed.

Round 3 vs. Logan (Six Samurai)
This match was a real surprise to me. People here are getting a little more innovative and the meta is shifting toward an older era.
Game 1: Topdecking war results in a win for me.
Game 2: Heraklinos wins matches.

Round 4 vs. Nick (Synchros)
Game 1: He gets a 3-1 card advantage late in the game and I don't draw any outs.
Game 2: I open with 6 monsters. Bestiari, Prisma, Laquari, Hoplomus, 2 Test Tiger. I win in a matter of moments.
Game 3: I get an all Magic/Trap hand and lose.
